Tactics ISIS used in Mosul - Stop Turkey- Warning Auschwitz coming back ! ☠️🏴☠️
Introduction
ISIS employed a range of brutal tactics against religious minorities in Mosul and the surrounding areas, systematically targeting Christians, Yazidis, Shabaks, Turkmen, and Shia Muslims. The main tactics used by ISIS included:
Mass Killings and Executions
ISIS carried out widespread executions of religious minorities:
Approximately 1,700 Shi’a Iraqi soldiers and cadets were executed at the Tikrit Air Academy.
At least 12,000 Yazidis were summarily executed, especially men and older women.
Hundreds of Shi’a Turkmen women were raped and murdered, with their bodies burned.
Horrific Nitric acid scene
ISIS employed horrific execution methods in Mosul, including the use of nitric acid to kill prisoners. In May 2016, ISIS executed 25 Iraqi prisoners in Mosul by lowering them into a large vat filled with nitric acid. The victims were accused of spying for Iraqi security forces and were tied together with rope before being submerged in the acid.
Nitric acid is a highly corrosive substance that has a catastrophic effect on human flesh. It causes skin tissue to melt, often exposing bones and even dissolving them. This gruesome method of execution was part of ISIS’s campaign of extreme violence and intimidation in the areas they controlled.
It’s important to note that while ISIS did use nitric acid as an execution method. The use of nitric acid alone was a brutal and barbaric act designed to instill fear and demonstrate ISIS’s ruthlessness. Not to forget they would put people in Nitric acid in tankers and circle the city. It was dreadful like Auschwitz camp.
ISIS employed various other torture and execution methods in Mosul as well, including:
Burning people alive
Beheadings
Stoning
Shooting
Electrocution
These acts of violence were part of ISIS’s strategy to terrorize the population and maintain control through fear and brutality.
Forced Displacement
ISIS forcibly displaced hundreds of thousands of people from their homes:
About 500,000 people fled Mosul as ISIS took control.
Nearly 200,000 Yazidis were forced to flee to Mount Sinjar.
By August 2014, the entire Nineveh Plain was emptied of Christians, displacing over 120,000 people.
Sexual Violence and Slavery
ISIS systematically abducted and enslaved women and children:
Over 6,000 Yazidi women and children were abducted and sold into sexual slavery.
Christian girls as young as three were sold in ISIS sex slave markets in Mosul.
Forced Conversions
ISIS gave religious minorities ultimatums to convert to their extremist version of Islam:
Christians in Mosul were given the choice to convert, pay a tax (jizya), leave, or be killed.
Yazidi boys were forced to convert and conscripted into ISIS ranks.
Destruction of Religious and Cultural Sites
ISIS deliberately targeted and destroyed places of worship and cultural heritage:
Christian churches were burned or converted into mosques.
Yazidi shrines in the Sinjar region were demolished.
The Tomb of Jonah in Mosul was destroyed.
Marking and Targeting of Homes
ISIS used a system of marking homes to identify religious minorities:
Christian homes were marked with the Arabic letter “N” for Nasrani (Christian).
Shi’a Muslim properties were marked with the letter “R” for Rafidah (rejectors).
Conclusion
These tactics were part of ISIS’s broader strategy to eliminate religious diversity and establish their extremist caliphate, resulting in what many have described as genocide against these minority groups.
