Syrian refugees returning face attrocities from Turkey backed SNA

Displaced women from Shanban, Aleppo, face severe challenges due to Syria’s ongoing conflict. Many have lost homes and property, with legal and societal barriers preventing them from reclaiming ownership, especially when documents are lost or properties are in regime-controlled areas. Women often become sole providers for families, adapting to new roles in unfamiliar urban settings after displacement. They also face heightened risks of gender-based violence, harassment, and child marriage, exacerbated by limited access to healthcare and basic needs in camps or shelters. These hardships reflect the broader humanitarian crisis affecting displaced Syrian women.
