Many research studies say that millions of consumers spend more time on their mobile devices and apps than reading newspapers or watching television. In fact, mobile usage continues to increase while the mobile phone is the device that people regardless of age carry almost 24/7 except when they have to sleep.

Surveys in the United States and United Kingdom also revealed that mobile phone owners use around 24 apps monthly. Yet, these users devote over 80 percent of their time in five applications alone. This means that consumer application time is limited to only several well-liked apps. FACEBOOK and GOOGLE are the most widely used among mobile users with FB having the slight edge over the multiple platforms of Google applications.

In fact, mobile apps dominate the time that most consumers use up online. Since last year, there was a formative shift in the manner that people spend their Internet time. More than 50 percent of them used smart phones and tablets for mobile apps like FB, Google and Twitter. On the other hand, a lesser proportion chose desktops and laptops to access these mobile apps.

There are no impediments to entry in social networking. You do not have to pay any fee at all by using Twitter, FB or LinkedIn. These are the places where you can find customers. At present, more than ½ of mobile consumers spend concentrate on the digital realm while more than 85 percent are engaged in the mobile domain. In most developed countries like the United States, survey data disclosed that younger people between the ages of 25 and 34 years spent more time on mobile applications compared to other age segments. This bracket surpassed the group of 18 to 24 years. Of course, youth remains as the strongest signs of apps usage. Nonetheless, technology including mobile devices and applications has significant impact on all generations including the millennial group. One of the reasons for this is the corporate sector specifically middle and senior management levels composed mainly of those under the millennial category.

Technology Advancement

The progress of technology is continuous. It has changed the lives of people, their means of communications, the learning process, and mode of traveling. Clear evidences of technology advancement are mobile phones and mobile applications that billions of consumers use worldwide.

Mobile devices have emerged as the top modish gadgets and necessities in the entire world. People of all ages and from walks of life crave for these modern-day gadgets. It seems that mobile phones are on top of the list trailed by handy computers (personal digital assistants), laptops, tablet computers and web pads.

Mobile phones and similar gadgets are more reasonably priced than high-tech desktops although personal computers have large screens. These are deemed as more convenient for word documents and spread sheets.
