London Chooses a new Major

Election of the new Major of London

Sadiq Khan, aged 45 or so, won with a great 56,8 % of votes. A man with Pakistani descents, son of a bus driver. A man of the middle class. It seemed impossible that he had a chance over the ultra-conservative Ben Goldsmith, white, rich and powerful, whose name is strongly linked to the establishment. He won being the Muslim major in the history of the city of London.

Detractors immediately pointed

It should be interesting to note that the awesome-looking heir to one of the most important, powerful and rich families of Britain is Jewish. As a matter of fact, in both cases, their religion doesn't correspond to state's religion, being Protestantism (even if Roman catholic church has known, in recent times, a sensitive increase).

He promised to give a helping hand, providing local population with new 80.000 homes at reasonable prices. London is a city with about eight million inhabitants, known as the world's most multicultural city, the place where all sort of languages and dialects are spoken, where the cost of public transportation is among the highest, where passengers take every single day a ranging time from one to two hours to reach their job places, from the very outer belts to downtown

This is London

Sadiq Khan opposer, Ben Goldsmith is the perfect example of the highest, and most conservative upper class, devoted to banking and investments. He is a representative of a very small social class, though the wealthiest.

Goldsmith was born in London and is the youngest child of the late billionaire James Goldsmith, a member of the prominent Goldsmith family and his third wife Lady Annabel Vane-Tempest-Stewart.

Thus the most powerful. Being himself married to another heir, form the Rothschild family, he didn't probably meet the acceptation and accordance of the most part of population, who do not live in such neighborhoods of Richmond, Mayfair, Belgravia and Knightsbridge.

This sort of enclaves are limited to the world's most powerful tycoons, who have their residences, or second houses here. Russians, Indians, Arabs and Chinese do not, of course, represent the majority of inhabitants.

Let's not forget that, together with a New York penthouse, this is the place where the costliest residence has been sold, and, due to that reason, the value of real estates has de-balanced.

Conclusion

Can a Muslim Mayor work well for the wellbeing of such a special town? Yes. This is not a matter of religion, but a meritocracy issue only. Will he be good enough to lead the city? Only time will give us all the answers.

By now, we all aim to follow his very first step as the Major.

Citizens of London are appreciated for their securlaism in middle-eastern world. at the end religion should not pave the path of sucess of any courrent but its common citizens.
