Life of Rohingya Tribe in Myanmar Is at Stake – Hope for Repatriation –Deep Analysis

Rohingya is a so-called Bengali Muslim community in Myanmar. They are immigrants coming from Bangladesh to resettle in Burma.  This minority   ethnic community is not accepted to Myanmar government.  Burma or Myanmar houses major number of Buddhists.   The infiltration from Bangladesh is not spared by Buddhist community in Burma.  Out of 50 million people, one million refugees belong to Rohingya tribal belt.

Ethnic Clash in Rakhine – Dalai Lama Asks for Reconciliation and Peace

Rohingya people chose Rakhine for getting shelters. This state is not financially rich.   These poor Muslim refugees have to live in outdoor camps.  They have not legal citizenship certificates and permission to cast votes.   They are not valued by Myanmar government.   In 2012, there was an ethnic clash between Rohingya Muslims and Buddhists over land possession in Rakhine. Rohingya ethnic minority is not included in the national 135 officially recognized minority groups.  Myanmar's 1982 Citizenship Law didn’t   recognize this ethnic community in Burma.   They are treated as asylum seekers who have no documents or citizenship status.  Therefore, they have to bear untold humiliation and inequality to stay with Buddhist community members in Myanmar.  Thein Sein, the president of Myanmar has borrowed support from UN to resettle this ethnic minority group in other countries.   He told the UN secretary that Burma spends lot of fund to rehabilitate all national ethnic minorities.  Rohingya tribe is not the recognized community and therefore Myanmar government   can’t relocate people of this minority community.

Innovative Reforms Required to Rehabilitate Rohingya Tribe

Social reforms and development   in Myanmar are ensured by Aung San Suu Kyi whose ruling party has been elected to control the national administration.  She has also won the Nobel Peace prize.  She will bring   innovative reforms by ending hostility, mistrust, hooliganism and poverty.  Dalai Lama who is world famous spiritual leader in Tibet has   asked for her active support to control the tension in Rakhine state of Burma.   Riot in 2012 disheartened this famous Tibetan monk who is a messenger to preach for peace and tranquility.  Aung San Suu Kyi must step ahead to give moral strength to victims in Rakhine.  She should call dissidents for negotiation without boosting up insurgency in Rakhine.  National League for Democracy party   has not declared any new update over the dispute in Rakhine.   Aung San Suu Kyi has replied to the urgent call of Dalai Lama for controlling racial tension in Burma.   Buddhist majority doesn’t allow this small Muslim ethnic community to become citizens of Burma.  This ideological difference acts as the inflammable component to brew up the racial profiling and riot in 2012.  Over 100 people were knocked down.    Over 90000 Rohingya refugees had to shift their locations to extreme western part of Rakhine province.  Dalai Lama urges for fast settlement removing the disputes.   Female Nobel laureate has stated that the situation in Rakhine is complicated without shortcut solution to invent.  The problem to rehabilitate these Muslims is the shortage of   accommodation. She has met John Kerry, the ‘American Secretary to explain the existing situation in her country.   The land must be   found for   rehabilitation of these Muslim asylum seekers who have no permanent   citizenship.   They are unrecognized elements without documents and legal visas to prove their lawful citizenship.  That’s why, the old immigration   law needs modification.   She has implored UN secretary for cross checking the whole situation in Rakhine.

Rohingya Members Considered Persecuted Minority – Constructive Rehab Programs Needed

Rohingya members in Burma are considered to be least important minority community.  They are persecuted ethnic folks without rights to get education, high profile status and jobs in government offices.  ARakhine based Muslim has to give cheap labor to the Myanmar government without claiming wages.   He has to serve in the military of Burma in daylight and visit offices to do works at night. So, ultimately, he has to work over 10-15 hours a day to earn negligible amount.  This harassment is unbearable.    International human rights commissions and non-profit organizations put pressure on the present government of Myanmar for better reforms to repatriate these immigrants permanently.   During the communal unrest and insurgency, many Rohingya Muslims fled to Thailand, Malaysia and Bangladesh. However,   Burma has not reviewed the condition of these helpless asylum seekers   meticulously.   However, meanwhile, America and the UK sent the representatives to talk to Aung San Suu Kyi over the Rohingya immigration   issue.   Good financial package is needed by Burma tobuild up houses forrepatriation.  These vagabonds need food, clothes, shelters and education. They have no social status. So,   Aung San Suu Kyi’s   government should mobilize the   innovative social reforms by précising the miseries of Rohingya Muslims.

Conclusion

In this connection, some official representatives of International State Crime Initiative at Queen Mary University of London prefer to use genocide to harass this minority community.   government must acknowledge this genocide and declare sound financial aids for life care of million Rohingya refugees.
