Dalai Lama’s Clandestine Off-Camera Meeting with Obama Irritates China –Why?

The recent visit of Dalai Lama to White House has irritated Beijing.  This off-camera clandestine conversation between 14th Tibetan spiritual icon and Obama seems to dishearten Chinese top brass over the issue of sovereignty of Tibet. China has occupied Tibet since 1950.   Dalai Lama wants autonomy and Beijing doesn’t stoop to the claim of Tibetan monk. The dispute and ethnic conflict reduce the peace and stability.

Short Background

Present Dalai Lama is Tensin Gyatso who grew up in Taktser situated in China. This spiritual mentor has had watched the uprising in Tibet.  Chinese atrocities were limitless to torture spiritual disciples of Gelug Buddhist School.   He was exiled from Tibet by Chinese government.   He fled to India to save his life from China.   He opened a small Dharmasala in the Punjab.   He wrote many manual scripts and articles on Tibet and Chinese autocracy.    Beijing should admit the autonomous sovereignty of Tibetans. Gyatso doesn’t want full-fledged independence but he needs the regional autonomy to participate in the   development and constructive expeditions.  However, China has no alternative but to use its strong armed force to suppress the dissidents and Tibetans. This repression is not appreciable.  Tibetans are struggling to have more political   power with recognition to develop this small country smoothly. During 20th Century, Tibetans had the snapshot of Chinese invasion to capture the power to regulate the administration of Tibet.   In 1950, Beijing authority decided to take the political power to rule Tibet. The communist country applied techniques and technology to   control revolt and insurgency in Tibet.   Religious schools were banned and Chinese rulers didn’t listen to the proposals of Dalai Lama. Chinese atheistic ideologies didn’t support the views of spiritual schools in Tibet.  That’s why, Dalai Lama and his disciples protested against the atrocities and barbaric autocracy to destroy Tibetan culture.   In 1959,   Dalai Lama   was banished   by Chinese government.   He had to go out of Tibet leaving his foot prints and few snapshots of caustic miseries.    During his exile, he opted for world-wide propaganda and outdoor campaigns to search for co-operation from western countries for freedom.  This powerful Tibetan monk   always speaks in support of pacification, brotherhood and universal love.  Beijing calls Dalai Lama a wolf in the monasteries.   He spreads tension and insurgency lowering down the prestige of Beijing in the world.

US Offers Strategic Support to Dalai Lama

American President has used few strategic phrases to revive the significance of the regional autonomy of Tibet. This country is highly spiritualized with long tradition. The Buddhist ideology is not radical with racial profiling against China.   Tibetans have the rights to claim freedom or autonomy to develop the country. However, Chinese intervention enhances the cultural erosion in Tibet.   America supports the sovereignty of Tibet.  However, Tenzing Jigme, the chief of Dharmasala of Tibetan Youth Congress wants stronger statement from Obama regarding the Tibetan sovereignty. He believes that no nation can’t be repressed and exploited.   The freedom to speech and expression can’t be bottle necked   by Beijing.  He further puts emphasis on the complete independence instead of regional autonomy.

South Sea Bellowing in Tension and Resentment- America Puts Beijing under Pressure

America has lot of interests to give psychological boosters and support to Dalai Lama to fight against   inhuman autocracy    of China.  The cold war between White House and Beijing   has taken the form of malignant cancer to backflow germs of resentment, vexation and grievances.   South Sea is burning because of the Chinese aggression with military   escalation to do the surveillance   in big islands in this Economic Exclusive Zone.     China will never   hand over the vast South Sea territory to America.  Nor is Beijing   planning to sit with Philippines, Brunei, Vietnam and Japan   for improving bilateral relation to end the war.  The passage of South Sea must be open to neighboring countries for trading.  Chinese military   patrols   with hi-tech   aerial surveillance systems and drones to watch Spratly Islands, and Macclesfield Bank.  This sea patrolling   doesn’t please America and other neighboring countries.  China’s aggression must be controlled for the sake of pacification in this important coastal territory.   The cool breeze blowing over Paracel and Pratas seems to be heated up gradually with the intervention of America. Dalai Lama’s secret meeting with Obama has caused damage to reduce the possibility   of peaceful negotiation. China will not permit Dalai Lama to enjoy the autonomy.  White House is on the way of garnering support from Tibet, Philippines and Vietnam to start devastating psychological   war   against Beijing.  Chinese defense is much stronger than   Philippines and Vietnam.  Beijing ‘smilitarypersonnelhas theballistic missiles,  powerful long rang surface to surfacerocket launchers , andnuclearwarheadstotackle   Americansamurai.   However,  stillGodis favorable toPentagon as it isthe strongestwithhigh range nuclear propelledsubmarines,  cryogenic  rocketlaunchingstations,     intermediate   missilesand well equippeddrones/jet planes.    The defense of America is disciplined and trained.  In Gulf war, insurgency in Syria, Labia, Lebanon and Iraq, American artillery with bullet proof convoys marched for victory.  Therefore, China will have to rethink to show leniency over the Tibetan autonomy.   Dalai Lama is a worshipper with the heart aching for the poor and distressed.   He is the mentor to guide people to have spiritual elegance through meditation.    His tour to America must open new channels for accessible solutions.

Trotsky   is the philosopher and critic.  He admits the importance of war for peace.  In this context, his personal views must be reviewed.   Bloodshed violence and repression can’t bring two nations under an umbrella for truce.  Land possession and power gambling are not alternatives to political stability.

Conclusion

China and Tibet must cross check their previous plans. They have to craft more convenient strategies   to settle the confrontation.  If the regional autonomy is the answer to end the tension, Chinese government should be less rigid with leniency to pay heed to demands of Dalai Lama. China also dealt with Hong Kong   regarding the power decentralization. Hong Kong   will have regional sovereignty with monopoly central power of Beijing.   Then, why does Beijing ignore such a simple solution to go for the reconciliation with Tibet? The answer is yet to get from Beijing headquarters.
